Hungry Jack’s & Make-A-Wish Australia

Join the nationwide effort that brings Hungry Jack’s customers, crew, suppliers and RSC staff together to create hope and joy for critically ill kids across the country.

A partnership that powers wishes

Hungry Jack’s has been a mission critical partner of Make-A-Wish Australia since 2017, playing a vital role in helping us deliver life-changing wishes to critically ill children and teenagers across the nation.

At the heart of this partnership is Hungry Jack’s annual campaign, a powerful, nationwide movement that brings communities together to create hope and joy for Wish Kids. Last year, the Hungry Jack’s campaign raised an incredible $2.7 million, the highest amount in our history, helping bring wishes to life, from becoming a zoo vet for a day to transforming into a princess, complete with a Fairy Godmother.

Year after year, Hungry Jack's have continued to grow the campaign which remains our largest single fundraiser with more than $10 million raised since 2021. Communities across Australia unite in an inspiring show of generosity, purchasing unique stars ranging from $2 to $1,000, each one helping make life-changing wishes possible.

Impact

We are so grateful for the support of more than 470 Hungry Jack’s restaurants, suppliers, customers and supporters nationwide, highlighting the power of community.

“The unwavering support from our crew, customers, suppliers, and franchisees continues to inspire us to truly make a difference. It's a powerful reflection of the deep commitment we share with Make-A-Wish Australia and the meaningful impact we can create together,” says Chris Green, CEO of Hungry Jack's.

“Each day, somewhere around Australia, a wish is coming true for a critically ill child. But as each wish is granted, another two new applications will arrive into the program. We rely on the community’s support to make wishes possible, and this incredible result will have lasting impact on the lives of critically ill kids and their families across Australia,” says Make-A-Wish Australia CEO Sally Bateman.

Extending the Impact

Building on its commitment, Hungry Jack’s continues to grow its support through innovative initiatives that bring the community together to grant wishes.

In 2025 Hungry Jack’s hosted its inaugural golf day to launch the campaign, bringing suppliers and teams together in support of Make-A-Wish. The event strengthened connections across the Hungry Jack’s community while celebrating a shared commitment to granting the wishes of sick kids.

Hungry Jack’s have also introduced a new round-up initiative in partnership with Adyen, a global payments company that makes it easy for customers to donate via EFTPOS at drive-through, in-store, online or via delivery. Adyen also matches every dollar contributed, doubling the impact of customer generosity. In the first month over $50,000 was raised, demonstrating how small everyday acts can make a big difference. This year, Hungry Jack's will again be donating $1 to Make-A-Wish Australia from the sale of every water bottle purchased in store.

12, osteogenic sarcoma

Cameron's Wish

While animal admirer, Cameron was being treated for his osteogenic sarcoma (bone cancer), he could often be found at a local pet store. For hours, Cameron would gaze at the snakes, bearded dragons, and other creatures that brought him comfort during a tough time.

Growing up in a pet-friendly household, Cameron was instilled with a deep sense of respect and nurture for animals. Being separated from his many pets during his treatments only fuelled his devotion to animal welfare and sparked his wish 'to become a zoo vet for a day'.

An animal adventure

Through the Hungry Jack's campaign, Cameron was granted a fully customised experience at the zoo!

He took part in a hands-on reptile care session, prepared food for endangered Cotton Top Tamarins, and toured the zoo’s wildlife hospital where he observed real-life veterinary care in action. For Cameron and his family, it was a day filled with wonder and learning.

“This experience has been specifically designed for Cameron, his interests, and it's just going to stay with him forever. It’s something really special he got to share with his family. It was amazing. Really, really amazing,” said Cameron’s mum, Marie.

5, severe congenital heart disease

Inayah's Wish

Though diagnosed with severe congenital heart disease and progressive cardiac dysfunction, Inayah tried her best to maintain her well-known confident and sassy attitude.

"Inayah’s health and medical needs have had a huge toll on her for the past 5 years," says Jay, Inayah's mum.

Inayah has been dressing up as her favourite princesses her whole life and loves everything about them, which is why she wished 'to transform into a real life princess'.

Thank you Hungry Jack's

Frequently Asked Questions

Launched in 2025 as part of the annual Hungry Jack's Fundraiser for Make-A-Wish, the Round-Up initiative reflects Hungry Jack’s commitment to supporting Make-A-Wish® Australia in bringing joy and hope to seriously ill children and their families.

When ordering at Hungry Jack’s restaurants, customers have the option to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar and donate the difference. These small contributions help fund life-changing wishes for critically ill children across Australia.

When customers pay for their Hungry Jack’s order in-store, in the drive thru, via self-order kiosk or the mobile app, a “Yes” or “No” prompt will appear asking if they would like to round up their total.

If “Yes” is selected, the total is rounded up to the nearest dollar, with the additional amount donated to Make-A-Wish. If “No” is selected, the order total remains unchanged.

For example, if a meal totals $10.30, customers can choose to round-up to $11.00, with the extra 70 cents going directly to Make-A-Wish.

Yes. Contributions to Make-A-Wish are completely optional. When paying for orders, customers are asked if they would like to contribute and can choose “Yes” or “No” before completing their payment.

Hungry Jack’s customers can round-up to donate to Make-A-Wish when they pay for their order at the register, drive thru window, self-order kiosk and mobile app. Outside the restaurant, donations to Make-A-Wish can be given by visiting Ways to Donate.
